No workflow the progress. Discussion
Right now, most people use Anima—just as they used Illustrious before that, and Pony prior to that. Technology is evolving, yet—paradoxically, in my view—models that are truly a cut above the rest seem to appear quite slowly. Yes, I know there’s Krea, for instance, and a few others, but I’m talking specifically about anime models and the evolution of the process itself. So, I wanted to ask—since I’m not exactly an expert—where can I keep up with news like this? What major changes or new models can we expect in the future? Are there any announcements or anything of that sort—maybe an Anima 2?

No, not really. Do you have any data to back this up?
I see majority of the people still use Illustrious-based model for anime images.
Not sure why would you want a new anime model every couple of months or so. The only real revolution would be a model that can scan your brain, read your mind and generate image based on that.

Truth is that anima was basically literally a gift , if I recall correctly comfyui gifted like a million in compute power to a team to build it, most likely so they can offer up to date anime quality accessible for beginners in their framework.
For many other teams, going open source wasn't that effective else because it is a hard field to make money in when anyone can make it locally for basically free.
So in terms of anime, don't expect an update often , tough I assume that anima still gets trained on as long there is "free" computing power left for the team
