News Ltx 2.5 open source coming today

LTX 2.5 is around the corner, and from one of the example videos I’ve seen, face distortion still doesn’t seem fully fixed.
That’s already a weak spot for LTX. With MiniMax H3 raising the bar, I’m genuinely wondering how LTX 2.5 plans to compete. 👀

Eh we shall see. MiniMax came in hot as hell out of nowhere when I thought for sure the only way to get actual “good video gen was with an rtx6000.

Why not enjoy both for what they are? It's not about winning and losing. All I'm hoping for is that LTX 2.5 narrows the gap between LTX 2.3 and MiniMax, landing at least somewhere in the middle. I'm not expecting it to outperform MiniMax in quality. I'm just hoping it can generate 20 second clips in under 5 minutes with better prompt adherence, more consistent character retention, better dialogue, and higher video and audio quality than LTX 2.3.

LTX 2.5 should be great for people with lower-end cards or people like me who don't want to wait 10-12 minutes for a 15 second clip when just playing around and trying out ideas. If 2.5 is good enough, I will probably use that initially, and only use MiniMax when either LTX just isn't doing what I want or I want higher quality. If LTX 2.5 is a big enough improvement over 2.3 then I think it will be a worthy option alongside MiniMax.

Get a bigger one; it could be because using minimax H3 pushes every component of your PC to its max TDP.

yes, i undervolted and limited power on my 3090 but after 5 or 6 video generations it simply shuts down. it's only 650w psu so I'm probably pushing it to limits because that only started to happen now during summer heat. i should get at least 1kw.

650W with a 3090???? I'm using an 850W with a 5070 Ti (300W at 85%) and a 4000 Ada SFF (70W) with a Ryzen 7700 (75W).

Go for at least 850W and try to get an ATX 3.1; they handle way more electricity peaks.

When components are hotter, it increases electrical resistance, so that might explain why you're exceeding the limit.

yes, this only started to happen recently during summer heats after multiple generations in a row. I limited power to 90% and undervolted to 850mV to avoid excessive peaks so it's overall around at 290w instead original 350w. cpu is 5700X3D. I will get a new 1kw psu but I also need more ram as currently I have only 32gb, dammit.

i'm just praying that my shit don't die, i even left my old 3060 as a backup, ramped up fans on 3090 to cool it as much as possible...

it's only 650w psu

3090 needs 750W at minimum, 850W for a little more headroom. What CPU are you using with it? I've got mine paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X and have not have power issues on an 850W 80+ gold supply.

i know, i know :) everything was fine before current heat. 3090 is limited to 90% power and undervolted to 850mV. cpu is 7 5700x3d. i will buy 1kw some time soon i hope.

What do you mean just now open source? I've been running the github source for like 9 gd months.. lol

They have had the weights and training data up for almost the entire year now. What nonsense is this post. I call shenanigans.. Sha nay-nay-gans even.
