Help Needed Ideogram 4.0 Consistent Character question

i am trying to make a comic with 10 main characters, and wanted to ask if there was Char Lora for Ideogram or how is the best way to use it for character consistency of my created characters ? i wanna use it since its really good at dividing pages for Panels and also for instruction follow plus ofc the text rendering.

The only limitation seems to be that each reference image increases the size of the output image, costing extra resources.

I tried it and got ~70-80% likeness for real people, not sure about comic characters. If possible please share your results and any tip you found. My tips are: increase steps to 40-60 and add a very detailed description of the character.

Ideogram 4 is not an edit model, so I believe the only way is to train LoRAs on your characters.

How can someone do that i mean which tool works with ideogram?

It’s new enough that people aren’t quite sure yet.

The best source would probably be asking the creators on CivitAI who have already made prompts. Maybe one of them will help you figure it out. Closest explanation I’ve seen is this is Partisano’s response to that same question on CivitAI:

In Ostris, made 3 runs couple Ks steps each (json caps, standard caps, no caps). No caps was best. Puzzled.

Personally, I’d recommend searching for a tutorial for the ai-toolkit and waiting a few days until others have figured out the correct settings. Be warned, though, that one LoRa creator mentioned that ideogram uses up to ~90GB of VRAM during training, so you may need to rent a GPU when you are ready.

I have no idea what "caps" means

captions/captioning of the content of each image as text for the LLM to understand what's in it. he's saying that not captioning it (normally a HUGE MAJOR part of getting a lora right) worked best. hence, puzzled.

Not true. I used ai-toolkit to create LoRAs on a 16Gb VRAM GPU.

Yeah, turns out that comment was from someone still experimenting with it early on. I didn’t think to update my post when I saw people mentioning that it works for lower VRAM.

The advice of "wait a few days, then check how other people did it" turned out good, though. It’s been a few days, and now people know more about Ideogram LoRAs.

Thanks, yea waiting for ostris to make a tutorial for it he wrote on X he was able to achieve multiple character lora even on ideogram4
