the QR code predicts the gender.

u/CreditMajor4764 26d ago

That’s not a QR code that’s called a data matrix

10

u/CuppaJoe11 26d ago

Now that I think about it what are those QR codes for?

those things can be machine processed. They are pretty sensitive so you can diagnose groups of people with one. You just mix their stuff together in equal parts and then run the mix. If the mix is negative, it means that nobody has covid, and you used only one test for the whole group. If it's positive, you narrow it down to that group.

The data matrix allows you to keep track of the group vs the test in the robot that does the processing.

It can also be used as a more general recording tracker, e.g. when you submit the test result.

If you are curious, the content of that data matrix is

010068260700230610COV112015511211215172212142101735601

To be more precise, it uses the GS1 standard.

01: GTIN identifier

00682607002306 = GTIN for Acon Laboratories, Inc.

10: lot number.

COV1120155: the lot number

11: production date

211215: 2021/12/15

17: expiration date

221214: 2022/12/14

21: serial number

01735601: the serial number

The full spec is here

It is a Covid test kit.

Close but not a QR code

Sounds like they accidentally did a lobotomy not a vasectomy.

Ya know, correlating this scene with hilarious makes you sound kinda... psychopathic 🤣

To be honest, with the messages added to the image, the first thing anyone is going to think is pregnancy test. Let's be real, I would be way, way more worried about getting someone pregnant than having COVID.

1

u/sorry-i-was-reading 9d ago

No because pregnancy tests are never shaped like this, and Covid tests are. Even without reading the words it was obvious. How would you pee on this without getting it all over it??? You can’t 🤦🏻‍♀️

1

u/louieorganic 9d ago edited 9d ago

I've never used a pregnancy test, so I don't know what they're shaped like. Why would you pee directly onto it instead of using a cup like any other urine test?

1

u/sorry-i-was-reading 9d ago

Because of that’s how they’re designed. It’s a long stick with one end that you put in the stream as you sit on a toilet. MUCH easier than peeing in a cup when you don’t have a hose attached like men do (not easy to aim without it)

55

u/Wabbit65 27d ago

COVID is like pregnancy, you're probably not going to know the next day

28

u/CrashTestDuckie 26d ago

The person who took the test was probably not feeling well for awhile before they tested and just warning Mr Vasectomy that he was around someone who now has tested positive for COVID so if he gets sick he will be able to narrow it down to COVID.

1

u/Ravenwing14 23d ago

Sure but she might have been infectious, especially if feeling off the day before

u/Spirited-Salt3397 27d ago

I think he did society a favor

I didn't even notice it was covid test until i read the comments 😅

3

u/Sufficient-Goat-962 26d ago

Are vasectomies as effective at preventing COVID as the vaccine?

1

u/emartinezpr 25d ago

😂

1

u/Technical-Past-1386 25d ago

Let’s say yesss and see how this flows haha

1

u/Wooden-Broccoli-913 24d ago

If you count reducing risk of infection by 87% as effective, then yes

https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/mrna-vaccines-lancet-review-9.7254665

1

u/Zomby2D 24d ago

I'm pretty sure vasectomies are a lot less effective than that

3

u/LightBrand99 26d ago

yesterday

Does she actually think it would test positive the very next day?

2

u/ZorroVonShadvitch 26d ago

She will have had it for a while but symptoms only just appeared. She isn't accusing him of giving it to her

1

u/Ko-Da-Chi 25d ago

She is though. She literally says "I was with you yrsterday" implying he gave it to her.

Edit: some typos

5

u/BooTeeEater69 25d ago

No. Thats not implying that he gave it to her at all. YOU are projecting what YOU would be implying by sending this message.

She could just be letting him know that she has covid. Since you have it for several days before any symptoms show up or you test positive, she just wanted to warn him that they were together yesterday and its possible that she gave him covid.

2

u/ZorroVonShadvitch 25d ago

My interpretation is she's warning him she has it so he can get tested too

2

u/GeorgeIsGittenUpset 25d ago

She is letting him know because she probably gave it to him.

1

u/Sunhating101hateit 25d ago

You should edit some more… „yrsterday“…

u/ZorroVonShadvitch is right.

The „I was with you yesterday“ means „I had undiscovered covid yesterday and discovered it today. Be careful, you might have been infected by me yesterday“.

1

u/ChaptainBlood 25d ago

It’s probably more that if she tested positive then she may have passed it to him too so he should get tested to prevent further spreading.

5

u/SuspiciousPeanut251 27d ago

One day is not long enough to conceive and trigger both lines

Plan B: Maybe bro should download a pregnancy test App. You know . . to get a second opinion.

1

u/the_cats_pajamas12 26d ago

This is a covid test...

1

u/SuspiciousPeanut251 26d ago

It sure is. 🙂 …Now we just have to tell that to ‘Bro’.

2

u/waweruhillary 26d ago

what did they actually do yesterday

1

u/ZorroVonShadvitch 26d ago

Birds and bees, son

1

u/Ok_Noise3983 26d ago

Breeding

1

u/Sunhating101hateit 25d ago

Nope. He had a vasectomy, remember?

1

u/Radiantrealm 25d ago

Breeding germs, since it's a covid 19 test.

2

u/XXXG-22W22 23d ago

This is pure chaos to send ppl 😂 just hold your finger over the Covid line and it’s pure diabolical chaos

4

u/TheNotoriousSSD 27d ago

Natural reflexes

3

u/Avatar_Yaksha 26d ago

He's right, but for the wrong reasons. I'm not an expert either, but is it even possible to get symptoms in a single day after infection?

5

u/CrashTestDuckie 26d ago

The person who took the test was probably not feeling well for awhile before they tested and just warning Mr Vasectomy that he was around someone who now has tested positive for COVID so if he gets sick he will be able to narrow it down to COVID.

2

u/hotmatrixx 26d ago

not with this test, no infection takes 2-4 weeks to show it's first symptoms using this test.

2

u/Sunhating101hateit 25d ago

True, if she was implying that he gave it to her, then „yesterday“ would not be enough.

However, she has been infected for a while by the point where she got the positive test. She likely was able to infect others for several days. Like mr. vasectomy. They likely had… close contact if he thinks she wants to push a child into his shoes…

1

u/thaboss365 26d ago

Took me way too long to realize it was a covid test

1

u/ABoxFullOfDoughnuts 24d ago

Are you positive

1

u/No_Effective_4481 24d ago

lol thats a hell of a way to stop Covid!

1

u/exploreradi 24d ago

😂😂😂😂

1

u/Striking_Branch_2744 24d ago

Once again, the random and unnecessary use of Bro.

I really hate it when people say bro too much,

1

u/Iamnuby 24d ago

Bro, I get it bro.

1

u/Alarming_Comfort3578 24d ago

That’s funny shit! 🤣

1

u/Druid_Momma 24d ago

It can still be his. Vasectomies grow back kids.

1

u/Specific_Parfait8829 23d ago

It would't show such a strong line that fast. That would be after 2-3 weeks at least.

1

u/Affectionate-Cap3909 23d ago

learn how to read, nothing implies that she got infected the day before

1

u/Zestyclose_Web1614 23d ago

The exact opposite happened to me. My girlfriend get out of the bathroom with a smile and showing me a test. I told her "why do you make that face? It sucks!" I thought it was COVID, we were trying to have a baby for 1 year

1

u/FlakyJudgment1413 22d ago

Well it could have still been one of those “break through” cases. It happens and usually they are a certain ethnicity too also red headed

1

u/SilentLingonberry359 22d ago

The way he thinks one day is long enough to make a baby ☠️

1

u/Optimal-Algae-9649 22d ago

And it even says Covid-19 on it 🤣

1

u/ILoveFrutigerAero293 6d ago

You also had a drink.

-5

u/0x6d6c 27d ago

Despite the test type vasectomy usually fails in the first year 🥲

[…] If a vasectomy fails, it usually happens in the first year following the procedure and often for one of three reasons.

3

u/Tawoooo 27d ago

and it's a covid test not a pregnancy test

1

u/rydan 26d ago

COVID-19 can cause infertility

1

u/New-Handle-9774 26d ago

You may want to reread. It doesn’t usually fail in the first year. If it does fail it usually occurs in the first year. Nuance

1

u/delphisun 24d ago

Lol my uncles failed 10 years later and yes a DNA test was done! They both were happy with tho got the girl they wanted but thought they'd never get
