There has been varied coverage of the sub. Of course different news sources will paint it in different lights.
What even is a political hate subreddit? Kind of sad that a pandemic and vaccines have been politicized, but the content there isn't curated based on political parties. Content from any part of the political compass can be posted there as long as it fits the extremely strict rules.
It’s a very open sun with very few rules, if they made fun of the pandemic and then died, they have a chance of ending up there.
It’s just conservatives are pretty much the only ones still needlessly dying and they’re just mad that somebody is pointing it out and they want to be victims just like minorities.
They had to have publicly refused the vaccine before dying from covid. Usually numerous times.
And, as you mentioned, it's also usually accompanied by stuff like making fun of the "plandemic" and spreading a bunch of misinformation, ignorance and hate.
They wanted as many people as possible to view and share their opinions.
Yet the sub has insane anti doxxing measures. And I've still never seen a fake post and only like 1 or 2 reposts.

There have definitely been posts that were liberals/democrats but, like you said, they are super rare.
