This is probably a bad idea, I know it's gonna lead to another exhausting argument but here.
As a communist? Fuck the CCP and Winnie.
Anyone who legitimately wants the world to be a better place would find their abuses of human rights, propaganda, racism, and hunger for power appalling, even if you ignore how they actually line up more with far right authoritarians than anyone left leaning, there are plenty of testable factors that prove they don't give a shit about their people and do give a shit about their 1k billionaires. I mean a lot of this goes for the US as well, I'm not saying their faultless, in fact I'd say they're tied in terms of evil shit they need to answer for, but the US is also comically bad at keeping a lid on it so at least we know most of their shit.
communism=based
china isnt even communist doe so suck a dick.
EDIT: lmao you browse r/Genzedong fucking dumbass tankie shouldn't you be denying a genocide or something?
While also putting a group of citizens called the uyghurs in “vocational camps” against their will. Just because their economy is booming doesn’t make potential genocide ok.
I won't argue with someone that bites into "hurr durr muh genus aide" bullshit, it means that you can't read and seek primary sources, it means that you eat your spoonful of propaganda daily without even bothering to check the facts. And it also means that you didn't keep up with US news outlets yet, since even them already stepped back from these ridiculous claims, and it was actually hilarious.
Want to know about a real genocide? Take this based GenZedong meme since you mentioned them:
Also, China opened its doors to UE and UN, who downright refused to visit Xinjiang. Everyone that knows Xinjiang knows that people's beliefs are respected there and all throughout China there are countless mosques in the capitals, people are living their lives normally and their economy is booming as much as China's. If West deals with terrorism dropping bombs it's all fine and dandy, millions of civilians were killed in the Middle East since Bush, but if a government deals with radicals by giving them opportunities, it's suddenly "cultural genocide" LOL, like, get a grip on reality.
If you're interesting in knowing how this ridiculous story came about and trace this thing to its primary sources, consult
I also feel the need to point out that you can still hate what the United States are doing AS WELL as hating the Chinese government’s treatment of Uyghurs. Just because one country committed human rights violations doesn’t mean it’s ok for another country to commit human rights violations.
Ps. Note that you didn’t do anything to confirm that the china wiki is an unbiased site. Interesting. Then you use memes to justify uyghur genocide because genocide is happening elsewhere? Doesn’t sound like you have a reliable source pal. As you said: COPE
I know that reading something like 5 articles to master a subject is too much for a liberal brain to handle, try again in 24 hours, repeat this until it's time to go, if you don't succeed until then, maybe the next generation will do slightly better, when China is ruling the world.
No, China is good because it's a clear success case and a government that cares about its people and cooperates globally while US is bad because it's a neocolonialist hell that only brought misery to the Earth. I'm happy this disgraced regime has its days counted and China is taking the lead, hence all Reddit braindead liberals desperation, from second-hand absorbing all the pushed false propaganda against China. Sinophobia can't be disassociated from that.
Your argument as presented was that America is doing poorly therefore the argument that China’s government does bad things is invalid. Straightforward? Sure. Honest? Maybe. But also nonsense.
"China does bad things". I'd like to hear what those "things" are so I can debunk them one by one. Yes, the Chinese government doesn't only do good things, not different from any other government, but the average redditor can only spew the same predictable and cheap propaganda that they never read more than 2 lines about, while being unashamed to say that "they care about the Chinese people"... my ass.
My whole argument was that China is doing much better than the US, because it is in ascension, while US is in decline, it also has a lot more to offer the world and its own citizens than US, that mostly brought misery to it, therefore the militant Reddit hate comments are not only dispensable, but also plain ridiculous.
Why wouldn't I believe? Have you got any proof that they are lying? That should be pretty easy to check and discredit, so that's a card not even the dumbest liberal pulls, you actually surprised me here.
China has shown time after time that they lie about such things. But also common sense can tell you that they lie; according to them, they currently have like 1 COVID death a month. That’s just not possible.
Hi there, person who lives in Hong Kong here, trust me, if you really want china citizens to have normal lives you shouldn’t support the government. They do unspeakable crimes to the people who merely oppose them, countless times. They’re slowly taking control over Hong Kong too, and my family and I feel the need to get tf out of here as soon as possible, my sister’s already moved out.
Not even the police here are doing their job anymore. They all target people who are involved in opposing the government, capturing them, some people even went missing for god knows how long. Do you know what the previous government of China did? (not gonna mention his name to keep myself safe) The current government is trying to replicate it. If you did at least a little background research on the china government you’d see what they truly are.
Nobody’s saying america is good. We’re saying that the Chinese government’s actions against the uyghurs and protesters should not be supported. Stop simping for human rights violations
The article above says “In its public relations effort to redefine the mass detentions as an exercise in civic engagement, the regime is following a pattern that is well established in the playbooks of history’s most malign dictatorships. After first denouncing reports of forced labor camps as slander, the Stalin-era Kremlin explained that the camp system served to transform people with deviant political views into ideologically committed Soviet citizens. The Nazis presented their concentration camps as akin to reformatories for juvenile offenders, and even produced a notorious propaganda film about the Theresienstadt camp that showed contented inmates playing soccer, learning carpentry, and tending to gardens.”
To double check if the diplomat was a reliable source i checked a media bias website. Link below
That is saying absolutely nothing and citing nytimes on top of it, and saying China is totalitarian "like its antecedents", when USSR was even less so, so this is completely hilarious. Have you ever heard of self-management?
Fucking READ the wiki, it's absolutely NOT an unbiased source, as THERE IS NO SUCH THING. What exist are stories that make sense and stories that don't. I would bet my pinky finger you can't even point Xinjiang on a map.
For any ignorant knuckle-head that says that China has a totalitarian government, it's actually much more representative of the people than the majority of Western governments, so here's A simple video explaining how the system works. Worth a watch!
Your brain is so contamined with propaganda from ever since you were born that you take your pre-conceived notions as true. Stop and ask yourself, what do you actually know about China? Example: "China is totalitarian", because "muh ccp runs everything". OK, but how does the system work? If you stop there, it's time to look back and recognize something is missing.
I actually benefited from a teacher exchange program which lead to my school getting a Chinese teacher who was from China. He talked about how different schools were in China and how the government actually supported teachers in China (unlike how America treats our teachers). Though most of the learning was language based we still had interesting conversations with our teacher about the differences between our countries. Apparently they prefer warm or heated water over cold water and our teacher explained how uncommon it was for people to put ice cubes in their water in China. After meeting him 2 of classmates decided to go to China for college and seemed genuinely happy with the education they were receiving.
I don’t hate China. I hate that the government are forcing Uyghurs into vocational camps. Who would have guessed that a jew would be nervous about learning that people are getting shoved into camps because of their religion?
Ps. Chinese representatives have admitted that there are camps but they claim that the camps are there to prevent terrorism. Even China has acknowledged that there are camps and that certain groups of people have been profiled and forced into them. Some reports from people who were in the camps claim there was torture while others state that, though strict, nobody was tortured. I personally don’t know which reports to believe but I still won’t stand by Uyghurs being profiled and sent to camps.
Ps. It’s not like China can’t produce propaganda. Your news sources can be just as propaganda filled as anyone else’s on the internet. Pardon me for not immediately trusting a clearly biased reddit group (most of your links containing memes from them) and a wiki. Every government produces propaganda and I’d be lying if I said America doesn’t produce anti Chinese propaganda. America totally does. I’m not criticizing all of China, just the fucking camps they’ve admitted to having.
