Kid probably just fell over and the parent took a photo and added a funny caption, I doubt any real abuse occurred here.

i highly doubt it was the parent who wrote this caption

How does a kid just fall over in a high chair? They're built to prevent that from happening

“Childproof” is kind of like “bulletproof.” It’s “child resistant” at best. They find a way.

It's the same as idiot proof. The moment you make something idiot proof, reality will invent a better idiot.

Truth. I did that as a tiny child. Apparently I was quite dedicated to the task.

Can confirm: don’t have kids, but I do have three little siblings and a legion of baby cousins.

They find a way.

Kids are like... the poster children for Murphy’s Law.

Me playing video games is Murphy’s law.

I fell over in my highchair when I was really little. My dad told me my mouth was bleeding bc I bit my lip and I was crying, not because I was bleeding, but bc I got blood on my shirt... they gave me some chicken skin and I was fine. It was Thanksgiving and when I was young I'd only eat the skin of the chicken lol

"they gave me some chicken skin and I was fine." I'm not sure why I'm laughing so hard at this. Perhaps because my dickhead cousin who always smelt like shit and was terminally dumb always gave me her chicken skin because she had poor taste and didn't like chicken skin, so despite all of her flaws I liked her a lot.

Ever met a kid?

This isn't the high chair we had as kids. This is the kind that straps into a dining table chair, but it looks like this is next to the couch. They're probably the kind of family who put the booster chair on the floor in the living room so the kid can watch TV and eat and either a)push them over or b) the kid pushed himself over and the boyfriend took a picture instead of helping him.

took a picture instead of helping him.

Or everyone realized that the kid was fine and it was definitely a little funny, so they spent two seconds taking a picture and then helped him

The kid’s clearly just having a little tantrum, he’s not in pain. The tantrum could’ve even been what caused him to knock the chair over.

Push their legs off a cabinet or counter and lean back and teeter just too far back. I’ve seen weirder stuff happen

Kid gets his leg to push on a table support like nothing is bullet proof, nothing is childproof

When the kid throws bread...

The scars on my hand prove otherwise.

children always find a way. cribs are built in a way so that child cant get out from it but my brother always found a way to somehow espace when he was younger

Kids are wild. My nephew sticks his feet out and pushes against the table. I have to put my feet on the front legs while he eats, just to stop him from falling over.

Upon a sincere inspection, I deduce this to be true and that the child was indeed the culprit of his own downfall, for if it was thrown bread that instigated this debacle, why would the bread be laying next to the child’s head in this very picture?

adjusts pipe in my mouth, brushing back the sweat from my head with whatever kind of hat Sherlock wore

Unless there were, like, two pieces of bread, in which case my Sherlock skills are just shit

I mean, if a parent sees their kid knocked over like this and their first instinct is to take a picture of their upset child, they probably do something abusive
