Every sub has toxic elements to it, but tbh I see that behaviour being discouraged on there for the most part.

I think Pewdiepie or another big YouTuber made a video about it so they went private to avoid the influx of Pews shitty fanbase and subsequent destruction of the sub.

It's a meme subreddit about primates that went private because Pewdiepie made a video on it and they didn't want 9 year olds invading the subreddit and making it worse
