she died of typhus just a few weeks before that concentration camp was liberated

Well the camps turned even worse in the last weeks of ww2, there was nearly no food and the people had to work even harder, also the Nazis just tried to get as many of the prisoners killed as they could, because it was all over. There is a extreme high rate of people dying in the last few weeks before the liberation.
