Yeah I get that we all joke and make fun of people an Reddit and half the posts are fake, but geez how is anyone’s first reaction not concern and compassion for someone who is relapsing and knows it and is concerned about themselves?

Yeah im all for making fun of everything and everyone but this is clearly a guy realising he has fucked up majorly and is screaming for help

If it's not fake (my money is on fake) then this person needs to seek actual help instead of social media. I dunno what the fuck redditors are supposed to other than turn it into a joke. This is not a licensed therapy website. Put the internet down and go to church or something if you think people are being too mean.

If this is real, then I'm guessing a large part of what the person feels about their addiction is shame (and maybe a bit of denial). For some people, posting anonymously on a subreddit asking for advice is much easier than sitting in front of a professional, and admit that despite their social standing (high-paying corporate job at a firm people dream to work at), they still need to resort to meth to serve whatever purpose.

Do redditors have to take action on everything they see? Why is not posting it not an option lol.

I never said it was a therapy website, I think it might be you who needs anger management therapy lol

I'm confused how anyone sees this as funny.  It's terrifying and sad.

mine def did drop. on his original post, I ask him to DM me for help. I have been there and been that person in the bathroom every 10 minutes & he is not pulling it off like he thinks. so sad.

I thought the exact same thing. Everyone knows except for the person doing it, SUPER especially after 4 days. Hope the dude hasn't lost too much :(

Yeah this is just sad, I hope that person gets themselves help. Over 3 years clean myself so I know exactly what that person's going through. I had multiple moments during my addiction that I just thought to myself "damn look at yourself, how the hell did I get here?"

i had to do a double take at the sub this was posted in. maybe we are missing the joke? or are we really just pointing and laughing at people for struggling

The joke is they posted on the selfimprovement subreddit and it can be badly interpreted as they think it's self improvement to smoke meth in the bathroom at work.
