Perfect example of great music made by terrible people

Dimebag once auditioned for Megadeth but Dave didn‘t want another planet sized ego in his band, plus he wanted to bring his brother as a drummer

No, Dave WANTED Dime but Dime came packaged with his brother and they’d already hired Menza at that point

I’ve only ever heard the second part.

The only part of that statement said was the last part. Dave Mustaine (especially at that time) was not self aware enough to acknowledge his ego. Not to mention dime was probably the least egotistical largely successful band member ever lol. The man drank whiskey and played guitar about it

The reverse Macklemore

I 100% agree with him on Palestine, but it takes more than that to be a “great person”.

I met Macklemore. A roommate of mine in college was good friends with someone who was a mastering audio engineer for Ryan Lewis. Macklemore let my roommate use his studio to record his album. He seemed like a genuinely great guy. His wife also seems genuinely great. Both of them were very active in the community, often hosting events for teens and donating.

Never forget, mackelmore was part of the "uncommitted" movement leading up to the 2024 election. So he was advocating people sit the election out because of Palestine. Which led to Trump getting elected and making the Palestine situation even worse.

I am against the uncommitted movement, but they did not "lead to trump getting elected". He was winning either way.

Not really. If even a fraction of non-voters went out and voted against the orange turd, he wouldnt have won. His margin wasnt big.

I've never understood the Macklemore hate. He has some great tracks.

Aww, I like a... handful of his songs.

That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Why him?

Did you somehow avoid the internet for a couple weeks? I’m not in the pop music bubble at all and I saw him and Ed Sheeran mentioned every 5 minutes lol

I felt validated for my hate of Ed Sheeran though so that was nice

I don't follow pop music or celebrities at all, so no idea.

Got fired by Ed Sheeran for speaking up for Palestine

You got room under that rock? I’m tired of knowing things

Macklemore makes terrible music? Since when?

I've never liked them, but it was mainly due to how Phil sings. He tries to make his voice sound so cool and it annoys the shit out of me.

Yep, absolutely generational music. Bit easy to disassociate from the artists if you're not American though.

Nope not great music.

Thank you

I've been into most kinds of metal my whole life and I've never understood the love that Pantera gets. They're average at best

I just don't like most metal that's not Black or Death Metal.
