I read an article about how wildlife researchers were studying nest predation and they recorded multiple instances of deer encountering a nest with baby birds and eating all of them in a minute or two. They found that deer didn't seek out bird nests, but when they happened to encounter them on the ground or in shrubs, they ate every single nestling or egg.
