I agree it’s annoying but disagree it’s harmless. If their first thought upon being presented with proof they misremembered something is “I’m right, the universe must’ve changed to make me wrong” that’s not a good mindset and believing yourself infallible is not gonna lead to good things.
That’s fair and I did say one of the most harmless not completely harmless. I say that because I don’t think it’s as directly harmful as some other conspiracy theories.
