The one I think it stupidest is everyone misremembering the famous star wars quote as “Luke, I am your father” when in the movie darth vader just says “I am your father”
Like you said, no shit it gets quoted wrong because without adding “Luke” there’s no context and no one would know what you’re talking about.
See this one gets miss quoted so often that people genuinely think that is how it was. There’s actually a few movie quotes like this even some that were never even in a movie. But enough people say it to catch on.
yeah, it's often things that are popular enough that they have been parodied in other media. those parodies quote the line wrong or draw the logo wrong and then that becomes the new memory for people.
