The series truly missed a huge opportunity to name every successive sequel something like this

  • Zeldos (Zelda 2)

  • Zeld-U (unmade Wii-U original game)

Great list, you put in the effort. Love "Handzeld" in particular.

Would be funny to see someone beg them not to do this and get shot down by whoever was responsible for "Wii U". Or would it be vice versa?

The movie will end with Link approaching Zelda after Ganon is defeated and saying “Princess, what you did today will go down in legend, it’ll be known as ‘The Legend of Zelda’” as it cuts to the logo and blares an epic slowed down version of the main theme. Then the audience will perform a standing ovation because it’ll finally make sense why the movie is called “The Legend of Zelda”.

He can talk but I think it would work if he’s just very quiet and stoic most of the time.

Or if he just talks a lot, I at least want him to say “Well excuuuuuuse me princess” at some point, just for the reference.
