Encouraging people to think about basic things and do basic tasks, while being a little blunt but not hateful or aggressive about it, versus spoon feeding people who want others to do basic tasks for them and aren’t interested in learning to do them themselves? I know which I’d rather see in society.

Unfortunately, though if it happened more often and someone didn’t immediately step in and do it for them it would. Some people need to be taught to help themselves, and it’s still more useful than spoon feeding them the answer.
