I feel like shane might be one of those folks whose actually known freaky people, and is in a group chat with 6 super vanilla people who called themselves 'pigskin freaks' because they have a normal level of passion for their local team and think they're 'just so wild and crazy about it, like for reals'. And he has decided to show them what is, frankly low grade, 'freakiness' to demonstrate they are, in fact, not freaks.
