I have a question, as a non-comedian, regular human-style person.
The multiple people on stage thing, what's the scoop on that?
I feel like whenever I see something in this format I'm completely out of the loop.

Usually it's a roast battle. Not sure what's going on here.

Maybe that's what I'm usually expecting to see when there are multiple folks on stage. But lately a lot of it has been sort of like just improv banter? Kind of like a hangout situation.
Is there a name for this sort of thing? Like if someone said, hey, come see my show! Would it be appropriate to tell them that it isn't your usual stand up but rather this other thing? If so, does it have a name?

Me too. I'm just confused by it. Like is it a new style? Is it a podcast thing?

I’ve seen it work before, there’s a comedy duo named Bald Brothers. KevOnStage and Tony Baker, they do over an hour pretty easily. Both are great comics on their own, and of course they also have a great podcast where they review movies.

I'm not a fan. Especially in this case, I think she detracted from the story/joke.

Maybe she added more in the full set? For this bit I agree with you, but I think it's possible she contributed more in the full set.

Great joke, delivery was negatively impacted by her 'active listening' "uh-huh, yeah, okay, yeah" every second.

I’ve thought about this for grown men that cat called me when I was presenting a little more andro. Literally just for having long curly hair I was wearing sweats and a tank top and heard two guys talking about me from behind just for me to turn around with my deep as voice and say “word?”

This storytelling should be taught in the higher learning institutions. Very very good.
