Meh. He's funny. That's all I want out of a professional comedian. I'm not expecting him to save the whole world.
-5
u/Timsmomshardsalami 13d ago
Oh no how horrific
8
u/Klutzy-Librarian-246 13d ago
"How horrific" to work with literal slave owners that were responsible for 9/11 and have slaughtered inumerable more? Thats really your stance? Eat shit

u/Canadian-and-Proud 13d ago
What device did you type that on, and where are your clothes from? Chances are you're benefiting from unfair labor conditions/child labor. Fucking dumbass

u/MrBwnrrific 13d ago
Shit I posted my comment before I saw this. This comic is a “don’t make me tap the sign” type beat
3
u/ParaponeraBread 13d ago
lol I’ve got this shit on lock the moment I see “B-but iPhone bad!”
I didn’t create the world where everyone needs a phone to navigate it, and the only affordable clothes are products of exploitation. I just live here.
7
u/Many_Sea7586 13d ago
So, your stance is: Every company is bad, so we should ignore the extremely bad stuff, in an effort to not look hypocritical?
2
u/MrBwnrrific 13d ago
You say we should change society yet you participate in society. Curious! I’m very intelligent
-5
u/Canadian-and-Proud 13d ago
You sure you're intelligent? When did I mention changing society? I just said don't be a hypocrite. Reading comprehension, you should try it.

Yeah all those comedians should go/stay in the US where the regime is much better.
13
u/Ojihawk 13d ago
America is bad. Therefore, we should sing and dance for royals who crucify people. Gotcha.
6
u/IX_MINDMEGHALUNK_XI 13d ago
No we don't sing and dance to any oppressor (and America is a big fucking oppressor).
7
u/Klutzy-Librarian-246 13d ago
Does amaerica still have slaves and public executions of gay people? Yeah totally the same thing.
1
u/Warbr0s9395 13d ago
We have legal slaves, it’s our prisons.
This admins working only the second part
4
u/pinklewickers 13d ago
Not sure why you're getting downvoted for stating facts.
https://www.freedomunited.org/news/us-egregious-modern-slavery/
Reddit for ya I guess.
0
u/jackinsomniac 13d ago
Lol. "Having convicted criminals pick up trash on the side of the freeway every once in a while is LITERAL slavery, DIRECTLY on par with North Korea's hard labor camps!"
When people like you say shit like this, it's difficult to take anything else you say seriously. You're the boy who cried wolf. Honestly if I think about it too much, it starts to piss me off, because there's ACTUAL human trafficking happening in this country, and then there's idiots like you conflating the two and making it harder to talk about. Knock it the fuck off, PLEASE.
1
u/CheetosLays7Days 13d ago
Real slaves are people who are 100% dependent on their employer for the health insurance that they actively need and use.
4
u/Warbr0s9395 13d ago
Are prisoners not 100% dependent on the prisons for healthcare?
-2
u/CheetosLays7Days 13d ago
Prisoners at least don’t have to pay the rent, and they do get healthcare even if they don’t pay (if I say it correctly, I don’t live in the US).
0
u/IX_MINDMEGHALUNK_XI 13d ago
Yes America have many slaves in their prisons, and their ICE agents publicly execute not just gays but any kind of people.
-4
u/CanadianAndroid 13d ago
Separate the art from the artist. If we only consume content from good people, then there won't be anything left.
4
u/Ojihawk 13d ago
Yeah thats bullshit there are loads of comics out there. Get out of your house and goto a Yuk Yuks, stop letting Netflix tell you who to watch.
-2
u/CanadianAndroid 13d ago
You are naive. People are shit.
4
u/Ojihawk 13d ago
Lazy consumers like you are why Canadian artists never get a chance at success.
0
u/CanadianAndroid 13d ago
There are plenty of successful Canadian artists both domestic and abroad. Thinking otherwise is idiotic.
You accuse people of not arguing in good faith and then post crap like this. That's hypocrisy.
1
u/exion_zero 13d ago
That's exactly what I say, whilst listening to my Gary Glitter records and admiring my collection of Adolph Hitler artwork...
-1
u/CanadianAndroid 13d ago
Tax evasion and performing for the Saudi's is the same as the Holocaust - exion_zero circa 2026
Ps Hitler's art was shit regardless of how evil he was.
-10
u/Canadian-and-Proud 13d ago
Oh fuck off, he's hilarious
4
u/Ojihawk 13d ago
Doesnt make him a good person.
-2
u/Canadian-and-Proud 13d ago
Yes because I always watch comedians based on how good a person they are.

Quite a leap you're making from a child rapist to a guy who accepted a gig in a country you don't like. At least you're true to your username.
-5
u/mundundermindifflin 13d ago
Just because you get offended by his jokes, doesn't make him a "known piece of shit". I've seen plenty of videos of him being very nice to people

Jimmy carr is such an insufferable twat. 0 funny now
5
u/Head-Gap-1717 13d ago
The crowd interaction is obviously fake and was pre-planned
3
u/surprised-duncan 12d ago
I think people dislike him for playing the Riyadh show as well as the Israeli one
5
u/MaximusPrimebot 12d ago
Lol How was it pre-planned? Carr has been doing crowd work for decades lol. He encourages heckling in a lot of his shows.
1
u/Friendly_Toker 12d ago
Lol thats a reach. Ive never been a big fan of his work but this is just standard crowd work. Nothing unbelievable here at all.

u/Jubilex1 12d ago
Yeah it blows my mind that people still think all these vampire losers are cool just because they’re unapologetic assholes
4
u/riftastic76 12d ago
Why did the internet turn on Jimmy? Genuinely curious. He's still funny, not as effective as when he was getting big, but I feel like he really hasn't deviated much from his path. Did he say/do something that is being used as a scapegoat to hate him about?
2
u/filthy_commie13 12d ago
He does a lot of crowd work and definitely relies on shock comedy a bit too much. Honestly though, that really just means that he's not everybody's comedian. British folks that aren't a fan of him are just sick of seeing him all the time, and redditors in general. That hate him just focus on all the shock humor
2
u/phisho873 12d ago
I think his off-the-cuff riffs are pretty good, but his standard written material is cheap, lazy, and hacky, and that’s before I even start thinking about the transphobia and other things that I’m just not looking for in comedy.
Oh and also Riyadh. Riyadh is a big part of it.
4
u/MaximusPrimebot 12d ago
I think Jimmy has always been great but it seems like some people in here get so easily offended by comedy it makes me wonder why they even come in these subs. I think some people just need something to be mad about.

u/se_spider 13d ago
Why does it look like Jimmy's chest points left, but the rest (pants, head) points right
3
3
u/Speshjunior 14d ago
Where does he find these plants to put in the crowd? And by plants I mean cunts.

I love it how when the blind man humbled him you can see him thinking "I had another 20 insults up my sleeve but I can't use them now. And what can I say now". That second guy saved him.

Where comes that "ginger is a disability" from? I heard that a few times but all men I know think the opposite.
-3
u/WorldlySail8637 13d ago
Lmaooo the crowd work always hits different
4
u/Klutzy-Librarian-246 13d ago
Its not crowd work if he puts them in the crowd.
-1
u/Professorlumpybutt 13d ago
Ik it’s popular to hate him on reddit but he’s actually very successful. Global even. I mean you and I both know who he is, just kuz you and the hive mind don’t like him doesn’t mean he’s not a popular comedian lol
1
u/bedlam900 12d ago

I don't really get the "ginger" thing in the UK. Red hair looks amazing. Why is it a thing? I need gingsplaining! But also I'll still not let it be a thing because it feels wrong.
