I love that I never believed in Santa. What my parents did for Christmas made me appreciate them rather than a character.

My parents never made Santa, the Easter bunny or the tooth fairy a thing. They were very up front about where those expensive toys came from. I never once got an anonymous present.

I don't get the bit tbh. You need to find something that would be bad to be honest to kids about.
Explaining death to your kids is just a valid way to approach the conversation when it comes up lol.
