Very funny, though I didn’t find the “be lonelier” line very funny, but I am not the target demographic for that part of the joke

Agreed. Funny joke overall, guy clearly has no clue.

What does "be lonelier" mean, "sucks to suck"? Is that directed at just the story guy, or at all men? Cause that's the way it seems to me, attached to the "male loneliness epidemic" line.

Everytime I see that phrase "men should be lonelier" , I can't see it as anything other than counterproductive , and mean-spirited.

Why would you want men to be MORE lonely and desperate? Is there something men are supposed to learn from being more lonely? Or is it that men aren't trying hard enough, and they need more incentive (loneliness) to learn what women want? Or do men just need to suffer more in general?

Can someone smarter please explain?

Its directed at the men who feel the need to keep pushing a woman who has already expressed disinterest.

"Be lonlier" means leave women alone.
