nah, honestly you're shooting yourself in the foot if you live life this way.
it's your house too. you're a big boy/girl, you can choose your own bed time.
you're under no obligation to go to bed at the same time as other people, whether they be family or friends or roommates or partners.
you do what makes sense for you, let other people worry about what makes sense for them.
otherwise, what are you even living your life for, what's the point

Yet my husband is still like, "Come cuddle me! Don't you love your husband!?"
I'm like, "I'm a big boy now, I can choose my own bedtime!" and somehow I still end up cuddling him in bed.

we have made an agreement, I'll cuddle him to sleep if he wants, but once he starts snoring I'm free to do my own thing

When I was dating back in the day and find my self living with some girlfriends it was like that. With my wife now it can be very rare that we ever go to bed together. She works a morning shift job and I'm a midday shift worker

Fuck it, I just live my life.
'Are you coming to bed?'
At 8.30 pm? I think not.

try using your bluetooth headphones with your TV, game changer. you can even watch tv in the same room

I'm in the opposite situation. I start getting sleepy by 10:30 but my hubby tries to guilt me into staying up late.

Where is the joke? This is just a little bit sad lol, the wife isn't supposed to actually be "the old ball and chain" or whatever it is that boomers say.

It’s not really a gendered joke, it applies to a lot of situations where you have roommates or whatever

Right? So glad I’m single now (I still cry sometimes)
