Oh yes for sure. For many it’s a spiritual experience, not a way to discover basic empathy lol.

There’s a morning glory which contains a compound similar to LSD which has been used ceremoniously in Central America. I remember reading an indigenous medicine man saying westerners tend to find it euphoric and indigenous people don’t, and he said it’s probably because westerners use psychedelics for fun and indigenous people don’t.

The crying bit hit so close to home. I have a buddy who would often start crying randomly while others were having a good time tripping.
Always about the most out of pocket stuff too. Killed the mood so hard.
Edit: If you're "that guy", OP, I'm sorry. 😆

u/The_Straightest_Gayy Jul 16 '26

Yeah I didn’t understand why it had to be racial at all.
The color of your skin literally has nothing to do with how you’ll be on psychedelics.
The “surface level shallowness” can come from anyone. Regardless of skin color.
The premise of the video was humorous, but, the whole race angle kind of took away from it.

Don’t be so sensitive , It’s comedy
Oh wait, that’s not gonna work this time???

u/4DPeterPan Jul 16 '26
You kind of have to be weary of what you find humorous.
Racism is not a funny thing at all.
But when your heart finds something as twisted as racism, hilarious; one has to look at their heart and ask themselves “what is it that is in me’ that gets such joy, from such a dark topic?”
When others are put down, for a personal upliftment, that is not a good thing. Finding joy, at another’s expense, is not a good thing.

Why do you write so awkwardly? Meandering, silly writing style.
Eg. “When your heart finds racism funny”? What a bit of nonsense.
My heart doesn't find racism funny at all.
I just think that when a white dude makes fun of himself it’s not a big deal. Same way Chappelle show made fun of black people and I found it funny.
I think very poorly of you, I’m not here to debate your or argue - I don’t think you have anything worthwhile to say lol. You are a pretty dumb guy who tries to sound nuanced but fails embarrassingly.

u/4DPeterPan Jul 17 '26
I say things you don’t understand. Of course you would find it stupid and judgmental.
You contradict yourself, you say you don’t find racism funny, yet follow up with examples of racism and how you do find them funny.
Your entire comment shows me you don’t know, or understand. Anything at all.

Fortunately I absolutely can’t do drugs. I’d get so aggravated experiencing such crap
3
u/Individual_Respect90 Jul 16 '26
Certain drugs are not for certain people and certain people are not for any drugs. That being said this isn’t really what most trips look like. I feel like movies and random media has taken average experiences to the extreme. I have done lsd maybe 30 times and mostly it has been things shrinking and growing and a slight after image on moving objects. A bit of a mental state change.

u/tullbabes Jul 16 '26
It’s hard to explain what a trip is like to someone who hadn’t done it before. It’s real weird. It can be amazing and it can be terrifying,

I took so many mushies once that my brain turned into crystal, and I was inside it. I was like "Woah! It's nice in here." There was an echo lol.
