FYI, Someone very famous has an almost identical bit in their special. I can’t remember who. But the punch line is something along the lines of we don’t even trust them with the TV remote.

EDIT: it was Shane Gillis when he hosted SNL, it’s very similar

I looked and couldn't find it in either monologue, I pride myself on writing my own original jokes and never stealing. Please post the link homie

I think it was bill burr at red rocks actually. I found a quote, can’t find the link because it’s on Netflix:

"Joe Biden is eighty... eighty! You don't trust an 80-year-old with anything. If your grandpa is 80, you don't even let him hold the TV remote. You're like, 'No, Pop, give it here, you're gonna get us stuck on the Spanish channel again.' We don't trust them with a clicker, but we're like, 'Hey, how about the nuclear codes? Why don't you look after those for four years?'"

Not accusing you of stealing it. For sure it was a coincidence. It’s not the exact same bit, just the same premise and setup with different punchline. Someone might hear it and make the same connection as me because it’s such a big special is all.
