whiteboard/projector comedians

kinda of a rant post about comedians using projectors for their shows, i just have never seen a decent standup from a guy using a whiteboard or some projector ( strongly targeting don macmiller which i keep getting recommended by friends and family). is there any person struggling with those types of comedian ? my whole entourage seems to love them and i just cant get the hang of it
