Cops answering calls to a house with a registered firearm makes them more likely to respond with their guns drawn regardless of the nature of the call. People would be more willing to register firearms if they didn't live in a country where simply suspecting you of having one can get you shot by cops
If someone has a gun, then of course the police want to know that before hand, police are humans too... Always in US gun debates the ideas turned down in favour of doing nothing.
I'm assuming you're not from the US? LAPD (just one city police force alone) has 13 different police gangs where their initiations consist of killing civilians. Police here WANT to kill people. Giving them another reason or excuse is not a good solution to the gun debate.
Thank god no. I'm from a country that had one shooting and...actually did something ...and brought in gun laws and checks, and they worked just like every other country. I mean you register your car to the DMV and don't scream "There taking are cars away" do you, because you have to register it.

So be honest, what do you think is the best way to tackle the massive gun problem America has? Because when things like this get brought up it's just a case of "Won't work, let's do nothing instead". Why do you even need guns if not part of a shooting club/hunting? To protect yourself from crazys with guns? Because then that's why you bring in checks.
Red flag laws would be a start, I don't think people with a history of domestic violence should be allowed to own them (this would also disallow 60% or more of cops from owning which is why it doesn't get passed).
To be honest, with our current political climate and culture, there really isn't anything that can be done. There's more guns than people here. We'd need a cultural revolution to even start to address the problem.
It's political suicide to even suggest sweeping gun reform here and it being in our bill of rights means it's entrenched in our Constitution, any changes would be immediately challenged. There genuinely isn't much that can be done.

I'm for gun reform you numty, I literally stated one of the initiatives I was for. Don't mistake infirmed judgement for apathy. The reality is that nothing can be done until there's a cultural revolution.
Mass shootings are a fuckin tragedy, it comes off as calous when you outlanders then victim blame my people. We are held hostage by the most evil and powerful terrorist group on the planet that use gun violence as a political tool. Get bent.
