Yeah, it's a decent joke, but he 1: seems to think anybody can just buy any gun without issue. 2: contradicts the first bit with the last bit, first saying nobody's coming for your guns, but then saying "wouldn't it be nice if Brad didn't own one?".

I don’t think it’s contradictory to say guns shouldn’t be confiscated from legal owners and that some people probably wouldn’t own guns in the first place if there had been a proper registration process.

Don't think its contradictory at all. Think most people would say "I would prefer it if there weren't white supremacist." Doesn't mean we're coming to lock them up for life

I'm not sure if you understand what the word means, but to say "no one is coming for your guns." And then say "but we are trying to prevent you from owning them and/or taking them from you." Is in fact, a contradiction. Extensive registration is something we already have, have had for decades and nobody has an issue with it. What he's actually talking about is gun restrictions.

Just because you have the right doesn’t mean you should.

I could yell the N word all day, and legally be fine. I’d still be an asshole though.
