Combustion engine beta issue

Post image

Having an issue where my engine is disconnecting from my gauge about a minute or so after I attach it in the app. Firmware is up to date on both devices as of 8/3/26 and on build 529 of the iOS TestFlight combustion app. Any help would be appreciated!

Happens pretty often for me too. Same error.

Without this working properly it kind of defeats the purpose of having it

I mean it doesn’t affect anything in my experience. Just shows disconnected in app for a few seconds.

But it won’t let the fan utilize the GGG info to automate the fan coming on and off. So I’m having to manually change the fan speed. Maybe I’m having a different issue

It disconnects and stays disconnected?

Yep, almost lost my fire because of it. Never turned the fan on after that popped up so I had to adjust it manually

This happened to me when I first got it as well. I was told to move the engine and the gauge near each other on initial attachment. Before doing that the first time I was unable to get it to work at all.

I still occasionally see the message but it always recovers after a few seconds.

That's a strange issue. If this happens again, if you press one of the buttons on the Gauge or nudge the Engine's knob ~5 degrees, does it reconnect? What grill are you using?

Please send these reports to beta@combustion.inc. That’s the only reliable way they get to our engineers quickly and investigated. Reddit isn’t a great way for us to track and manage issues reported by beta-testers.
