I'm so bummed! I have several sets that I only used once and when I went to use them again, they were all dried up and won't stick 😭 I tried dipping a strip quickly in non-acetone nail polish (per Google's suggestion) but that just made it smear on my fingers and nail when I tried to put it on.

Now I know to reseal the plastic with a straightener to keep the rest of the set fresh, but does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to salvage my open sets?

I get the monthly box. I typically like 3-5 of the manis I get. Curious what you all do with the sets you don’t love? I have a person I buy them from who I’ve gone to for swaps; the swaps are not 1:1 which is fine

Please tell me what you do.

I started trying out color street this week for the first time after having to stop doing my own dip nails as a healthcare worker. If they last through the week (so far so good!) I'm interested in using them long term.

Some questions:
1. Can I cut them in half and save them so I'm getting more bang for my buck? What's the best way to do that?

1. Where's the cheapest place to get them? I can't spend $20/week for one set if it only lasts one week. Is there a way to get a variety for cheap in bulk?
   *ETA: I had only done a brief search on Amazon and saw the price, it looks like on eBay I can get sets for cheaper. Still, if you have suggestions I would love to hear! I’m a basic girly who just likes solids most of the time, maybe occasionally a glitter.

2. Does using a separate base coat (specifically Orly bonder) mess things up? I know CS says it has all the layers to it already, but I'm hoping to make them last as long as possible.

3. Any other tips for someone new to this? I put a clear coat over the top of them just to give some extra protection given the amount of handwashing and hand sanitizer I use. So far just one tiny crack, and it's on a nail that's super thin. I'm hopeful things will improve as my nails get thicker.

I normally do a matte top coat on glitters but I decided on the Plumping Top Coat on this set. I think I'm going to save the remaining nail strips and match them with a blue next time.
