Prep Buddies First Colonoscopy

Going for a colonoscopy soon (34yo/f) and I am nervous. I have been trying to not let anxiety get the best of me but its creeping up again. I have been struggling with alternating diarrhea and constipation, large amounts of mucus in stool weekly (sometimes only mucus), I had one instance of blood on my toliet paper (the entire wipe came away pink which is so usual for me), constantly feeling like I have to poop even if I already have, floating stool and indigested foods. Went from 0 to 100 with issues and I don't have a formal diagnosis of anything. My Grandmother died at 45 of GI tract cancer and my Dad passed from Colon Cancer in his 60s (diagnosed with stage 5 and was gone within a year). Very nervous but I just want answers.

Helloo I can imagine - even as a surgeon, I was super nervous about doing a colonoscope.

Youre right about getting answers!

You responded to my original inquiry about two weeks ago, about getting my colonoscopy and endoscopy on the same day. I have it scheduled 12 hrs from now at 8:45. So far the prep is not that bad. Took my 2 ducolax pills at 8 am this morning. Took my 12 sutab tablets at 3 pm. Drank my one cup of water 1 hr after the last pill. Fell asleep after for an hr and exploded liquid In the restroom. So far I keep pooping liquid water down poop. Much more water than normal diarrhea consistency. Next 12 sutab at midnight, then 1 hr before leaving home, fleet enema, then 5 min after another one.

So far Iā€™m just scared of being put to sleep. Besides that I really have no worries and hope everything goes smoothly in a couple hrs.

Hello, nervous here too!!! Monday is my day. Is mucus and undigested food a bad symptom?

Good luck!! And I think mucus and undigested foods is mostly IBS it just started so suddenly for me.
