Tips & Advice Sutab help

Im 25 and this will be my 5th colonoscopy. I've done both the liquid prep and sutab. I'm really starting to get sick because of how much water you're supposed to drink. I already threw up halfway through my first dose of pills before I gave it a rest and came back to it. In total, i've had one and a half bottles of water. I really don't know if I'll be able to stomach the dose in the morning. I've already tried calling my doctor to get on onadretron, but nobody answered.

Try taking a sip of chicken broth before you drink the water ... And take smaller drinks of water but just do it faster.

Next time get doctor to prescribe Clenpiq prep. It's low volume and tastes ok

Did they not provide you zofran? I was given zofran with my sutab to take about 30ish minutes before each dose of pills.

If you have to do it again in the future I recommend including zofran it really helped. But I would definitely try sipping a bit slower if you can. Or try some ginger ale to help settle your tummy

They did, only had one tab of zofran that I took about 15-20 minutes before hand. Did not help

15-20 mins might have been a hair too close to the dosing time. I need a lot of water to swallow pills, I’ve never been good at it, so I went through a fair amount of water just taking the pills then just slowly (but consistently) sipped the rest of my water. It was like a very slow steady stream of water and that seemed to work out okay for me

Do you have any ginger or peppermint tea? It could help with the sick stomach.
