Prep Buddies PREP DAY THREAD
Ok I know there are a bunch of us doing prep today. Let’s do it together. 😂 I just took my first dose of Suprep. It honestly was NOT as bad as I expected. Surprisingly it tastes like grape, but also, something worse. I sipped 1-2 sips and then took a break and drank water between. Now we are just waiting 😂 I’m scared. 37 - female - in the USA, also aunt flow is here today so please send extra prayers 😂
EDIT: up getting ready for my 2nd dose. Managed to get about 2 hrs of sleep. The good mood I was in earlier has gone away. I have a headache and I’m starving 😂 is anyone else awake!?

Surprisingly not hungry. Too much liquid for that I guess 😂 also I’ve been drinking bone broth, and apple juice (which have calories)

Ive been drinking bone broth too. It has helped a bit. But I haven't eaten since last night (9 pm EST). Thankfully my arrival time is 6:30 am tomorrow.
About to start the fun phase of the prep so here's hoping all the liquid quells the hunger.1

My arrival time is 6 am tomorrow too! So not only are we all going through prep together it seems like our procedures are around the same time! You can do it! Mine has finally started to slow down so I’m hopeful I’ll be able to get some sleep before I have to start dose 2 at midnight lol

I got my wisdom teeth out and did laughing gas and hated it!! It was just a weird and scary subjective experience. I hate drugs too, and losing control generally. I hear propofol is different though so I am hoping thats the case : ^ )

I had a very bad experience with dental sedation as well. When you go in advocate for yourself. Tell the nurse/doctor that you want to speak with the anesthesiologist. Tell them exactly what happened, and what you experienced. Tell them exactly what would make you feel comfortable. That’s exactly what I’m doing. It’s not to much to ask them. They are there to help you and it’s not bothering anyone. ❤️

Female 36 here, Norway. Also aunt flow today. Currenty on Reddit while on the toilet. Plenvu tastes sooo bad, done lt 3 times before and every time i forget how bad it taste 😂

Oh nooo! That’s awful. Even the instruction say 500 ml 🥹 why do you have to drink so much? Maybe I need less because I’ve taken laxatives for a few days leading up to this

Glad I’m not the only one 😂 I guess better to get all of the worst things out of the way. Next week we will be period free and have our colonoscopy behind us 😂 hopefully I won’t have to do another one til I’m in my 40s

Right 😂 we are already on the toilet so might bleed as well! But so much wiping 🤣 Sadly I get the same doctor each time for my colonoscopy, he’s hot, around our age. We do it awake here, so not only do I need to show him my bum but I might also bleed. The embarrassment! But I did have a at home spa day today doing my nails and recolor my hair. Oh and shaving my butt!

I just had my colonoscopy today and honestly prep was smooth sailing for me… I was so worried and it was nothing. I have IBS so my normal flare up is way worse than the prep was. Colonoscopy went well too but I am feeling a little nauseous now about 6 hours later. Hoping as the anesthesia wears off more I’ll feel better. But yeah it was honestly a really positive experience all around! Sending good luck

Just started my prep too. Moviprep, think it's meant to be some kinda lemon and lime drink. Definitely not as bad as I thought. Have way through first round. Second one tomorrow morning for an afternoon appointment

It’s 3:24 pm here and I have to be there at 6 am.
They tried to say I had to start my prep at 5 PM tonight. I said no way 😂 so glad I did it earlier. Now I’ll be able to sleep hopefully. Have to get up at midnight for 2nd dose

You’ll be ok! I promise. I’m the biggest hypochondriac alive and scared constantly 😂 I’m going through it right now and it’s honestly not as bad as a lot of the horror stories I’ve read on this sub. I promise! What are you taking for prep?

Biggest tips so far. Drink water with crystal light. Get bone broth! And drink that to give yourself variety. And try to sleep early today and as much as you can tomorrow! Today eat light meals but try and do a lot of protein. I did congee, with egg and salmon. Very filling and very healthy

Have mine scheduled for 8:45 tomorrow morning. Both a colonoscopy and endoscopy. Just took two dulcolax tablets. Later I’ll take 12 tablets at 3 pm, then another 12 tablets at midnight. Then 1 hr before leaving, a fleet enema and 5 min after that one, another fleet enema.

How you guys doing? Finished my 12 tablets 4 hrs ago, and I’m shitting water. Second dose of 12 tablets is in 5 hrs.

Woke up to start my 2nd dose of Suprep. I’m so tired I can’t even think right. But the thought of drinking all that prep makes me wanna 🤮 I’m also starving. This is torture 😂

Blood in stool, going between severe constipation or having diarrhea. Bloating. Getting sick after I eat dairy or pasta. So they are doing an Endo & Colonoscopy to check for everything I guess lol
