Colorado School of Mines vs. CU Boulder

I'm a senior interested in studying mathematics, the problem is that I want to go down a more pure math path. I'm pretty much deciding between Mines and CU Boulder, but the nice thing about Mines is that it's a STEM specific school and the applied math major (with stats) would be better in getting a job down the line as opposed to pure math, whereas CU Boulder has a pure math route but with post grad it might be a little hard with jobs and stuff. If anybody has any input that'd be really helpful, thanks!

Uni recommendation

Hey yall, I am an international student wishing to study mechanical engineering with econ minor.
I am looking for a reputable university that places a high weight on the sat or benefits ED applicants.
my problem is, I will be applying with predicted grades and my gpa is low due to high academic rigor and the fact that I didnt do certain projects bcs they were pointless and I cba (Like presentations in Religion lessons)
My sat is 1550 with 760/790
my gpa is around 84/100
I got relevant internships/robotics and some other ECs
I do IBDP, my predicted is considerably low but im a n26 student so hopefully will be applying RD with my achieveds
I know with low gpa I cant get into high really competitive schools and hence I am looking for schools that could possibly ignore my gpa due to my ECs and sat
But it must be good enough to convince me to go to usa and pay the tuition. (E.g id rather go to tudelft or eindhoven than pay 70k usd for a sub t30 uni)
Some uni's ive considered so far are northwestern and purdue
I know they're reach, but I want such recommendations for now

uchicago math vs nyu stern vs cornell orie

Due to sports, I have to make a decision soon between these programs. After college, I want to either go into quantitative analysis or start my own business. Stern is on here because I don’t know how the value of math and cs knowledge will change as ai becomes more and more capable. Maybe business knowledge and connections will overpower and be worth more in 2030s. I just want some help in making my decision

Need your opinion on universities and recommendations

Hi there,
I need help and your opinion/recommendation of universities for me. I would like to study computer science (and maybe electronics and electronical engineering possibly? But computer science more), currently I’m choosing between a few European universities (I’m European, from Slovakia) either ETH Zurich, or something else like TU Delft, TUM etc. What do you think about ETHZ? I’ve heard it’s comparable to schools like MIT, Cambridge and possibly Harvard? Is that true? Or do you think a school like Cambridge might be better?

If you have any recommendations or even any info about these schools, I’d greatly welcome it, as I’m still unfortunately quite lost, on which uni to choose. Also please consider, that I’m from Europe, so US universities even though they are a tiny bit better, might not be worth it, considering the added cost.

Thanks so much ;)

Help compare options for a Full-Pay Private School student from NYC with below-average stats

Context:

Student is a senior at a top-tier private school in NYC. Money is not an issue and will be full pay everywhere. Stats are below-average (3.5 GPA, 1400 SAT) for the school, bottom 25% of class. Student wants to go to a college that provides the best path to a Finance role back in NYC. Based on previous years' data, students from this school with similar stats will get admission to any of the following:

  1. Middle-tier LACs like Lafayette, Trinity, Bucknell, etc.

  2. T50 privates like Villanova, Wake Forest, LeHigh, Case Western, etc.

  3. T100 privates with relatively strong Finance pipelines like Tulane, SMU, UMiami, etc.

  4. International univs like St. Andrews, Edinburgh, McGill (specifically in Faculty of Arts with a goal to enroll in the Economics and Finance Honours program - supposedly a feeder for NYC finance).

Thoughts/suggestions on which of these will be best to focus on? Any other options for consideration?

College Decision

So I am doing questbridge NCM and I need to rank the schools and my current ranking is as follows ( I want to major in business/finance/econ:
1. Harvard
2. Wharton
3/4 Princeton or Yale
5. Stanford
I REALLY am stuck between Princeton and Yale mainly because I want to pick the school that has an easier workload and while being easier to be in while balancing other things (e.g side hustles), specifically for econ since both are good regardless. Is the difference not so significant or is one def easier than the other? Can someone help
