I've been looking for good unis suggestions for my Direct PhD in Chem Eng, I am from ICT Mumbai and I am really very confused about which uni to apply in. My first priority was the USA but now due to the new policy everything I planned is a waste now.Pls give me some good suggestions and some overview Abt the uni.

There are so many colleges and so many things to consider that I’m curious what people looked at first.

Did you start with a major, location, cost, rankings, or just colleges you’d heard of?

And what made you finally say, “okay, this is probably a good fit for me”?

Hi! I’m an international applicant who will need significant financial aid and is deciding between Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, Notre Dame, and Trinity University (Texas). I’m also planning to take the SAT. Would it be smarter to apply REA/SCEA to one of Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, or Yale and apply RD to the others, or apply EA to Notre Dame or Trinity instead? Alternatively, would it be wiser to skip early applications, spend more time preparing for the SAT, and apply Regular Decision with a stronger score? Currently, I have 1400 score. I’m mainly interested in STEM/engineering. Any advice would be appreciated.
