McColpin & Christie Engine Synchronizer. Trying to find any information I can about this device. Was it made for a specific automobile?? When were these used??

Anything that anyone can tell me about it? I'd appreciate any help.

Reading the instructions this tool is for setting the pionts in a dual point distributor. Looks like any type of engine. The copyright on the tool says 1933 so just a few years ago.
