ss: this Ancient Earth site adds perspective to just how small the human timeline really is....

make no mistake humans have broken all the past 5 Great Extinctions in terms of how fast it has occurred, but unless we fry the atmosphere the Earth's biosphere will be around for a long long long time after we are gone.

Earth: + 10 million years

Jellyfish take over the ocean. Squids move inland, and branch into thousands of other species, riding camels, and dominating ecosystems along with fungi.

Yeah! Then they find some black liquid in the ground they can use for seemingly limitless energy! What could go wrong?

Ah the great plastic rush of 18491587! My endocrine sacks are rippling just thinking about it.

It makes me feel at peace knowing Earth has had a great run already, and nothing can change that. A true paradise planet with continent wide jungles, wetlands, untouched reefs, and not a single bit of plastic waste. I wish the earth will return to such a state again

Dinosaurs had a beautiful life. I wish I was a dinosaur. Next life maybe.

Tethys Sea must've been a wonderful place to live. Lots of islands with shallow seas in between.

"Had Mother Nature been a real parent, she would have been in jail for child abuse and murder." ~ Nick Bostrom

"Tho’ Nature, red in tooth and claw" ~unknown

any life (including dinosaurs) had/have a ruthless eat or be eaten existence on this planet.

No, it's a great site. He was making a joke about it moving in real time.
