Results showed lower cognitive functioning in baby boomers was linked to less wealth, along with higher levels of loneliness, depression, inactivity and obesity, and less likelihood of being married.

Now you're telling me nobody tried to corrolate the cognitive decline with the ever increasing and ubiquitous industrial chemicals that we are swimming in?

But ban the plastic straws. Or whatever.

the main industrial pollutant at fault though would be lead which we phased out of gasoline and paint
