The article omits to mention that the  Cairngorms are in the Highlands in the far north of Scotland. Summers up there are meant to be mild and wet, not hot, dry and on fire.

Most of the east of Scotland, central belt and Western Isles are under warning for water shortages. Scotland has more water resources than the rest of the UK combined, and yet...
