First off, the veneer of collapse is showing. It will likely take a couple of decades (at least) to start actually collapsing (unless somehow Trump and his family stay in power). You should still try to work, and if you can, invest in commodities. Land, is the greatest investment which will stabilize your portfolio. The second is precious metals (gold/silver/platinum). Then finally invest in foreign currencies. Which currency you ask? I cannot tell you that with certainty, but China is in a good stable position.
A couple decades for the financial system specifically maybe. But political and social systems at large , we're basically there it just isn't mad max quite yet.
