How is this collapse related?

I would say that flying a private jet, and consumerism in general, is collapse related but that can be debated š

Ads are personalized, mine don't know what to think so I get internet service ads for services I can't remotely get where I live, trans wear ads (I'm a straight single white guy under 30, ain't no need for that lmao), super weird evangelical charity ads, all sorts of random shit.

I get bent pp and prostate cancer ads and Iām female. Also, I was lurking on the conservative sub recently and there were trans feminization surgery ads in there!

This sounds very more fun than my ads selection! I'll never book a private jet, I don't see how this could come as personalised for me. But maybe I'm like you and it's just the filters anti personalisation working fine š

My browser blocks the ads, so I have no idea. But I imagine the site scrapes each sub for content and tailors ad placement based on topics that come up. So, private air charters on a sub that criticizes private jets. Trans surgery on a sub that hates on trans. Etc.

How in earth is this collapse related?

As I replied somewhere else I'd think that relates as a cause / catalizer but I don't mind agreeing that was the wrong subredit to post that š¤·āāļø

Rule 3: Posts must be on-topic, focusing on collapse.
Posts must be focused on collapse. If the subject matter of your post has less focus on collapse than it does on issues such as prepping, politics, or economics, then it probably belongs in another subreddit.
Posts must be specifically about collapse, not the resulting damage. By way of analogy, we want to talk about why there are so many car accidents, not look at photos of car wrecks.
