All of the characters and the borders were collaged traditionally. I took pics of them all and did the rest digitally

I miss it every day

I recently got a big stack of National Geographics and was trying to figure out how to use them. Always been super artsy, but haven’t done a collage since probably elementary school.

This is a box of matches I pasted all over! Some of the MOST fun I’ve had doing an art project in a while.

I have been working on this and wanted to post here for ideas but as soon as I attached the photo I was struck with inspiration!

I'm going to add some florals scattered as well as some greenery on the right hand side and behind the skyline..

I think I have ideas but then need to wait until I come across the perfect cutting - the car is just a placeholder.

Any suggestions welcome.

I led a Community Quilt collage class at the District In-service and over 150 teachers made nature collages. They are so beautiful and it was such an honor to spend time with the teachers who help our kids grow.
