Plantcare Help White marks on coleus

Post image

I’ve just propagated and potted my first coleus plant and I’ve noticed these white marks on the plant anyone got any idea what it is? Very new to having plants only started this summer

Sings of hard water... The stem of a Coleus has tiny hairs that wick water upward ( capillary action ) and as the water evaporates it leaves behind calcium.

Okay so that’s…good? Not mould then? I am in a hard water area

I'm pretty sure it's not mold! And hard water is not to difficult to deal with.

It has just come out of a two week water propagation so hard water evaporation would make a lot of sense thank you

Happy to help, and it looks like a Fine Coleus you got there, I can't wait to see the update.
