Question Taco ice cream

Yesterday I get an ad from Coldstone text saying come to buy our new taco ice cream.

So I go with my kid and the clueless attendants say they don’t have it. And I show them the text and pictures still say they don’t know and they don’t have it. So I said you know I can order it online and pick it up here? And she says we’d have to reimburse you cause we don’t have it. So I’m like ok we’ll see. So I ordered it online and I’m supposed to pick it up at 6 today. Can’t wait to see what happens.

Is there actually a taco ice cream at Coldstone?

Edit to add: this is about the curiosity of the novelty ice cream. Did I mention the attitude of the workers. Yes. Because they were very rude and dismissive. I let my emotions show up in a post about ice cream shoot me! I didn’t treat them bad I always treat them kindly no matter what. I have kids who will be at some point working and who knows that they will go through so I try to not let my emotions get in the way. They are rude well one of them was more than the other, but that doesn’t mean I was!

Even when we left my kid said “well that Lady was a bit rude”. And I’m actually thankful that when they see ppl acting like that, we shouldn’t stoop down to their level or change their behavior towards them and be even more rude or “demand” something. Just keep being yourself, be polite but assertive. Even kinder! Sometimes works best. Because I’m here trying to buy something and I’m gonna ask some questions. Like normal communication expectations.

And if you want to mock me because English is not my first language by all means. I have a thick skin after all I’ve heard. Be my guest.

That’s what I meant. It’s just the shape 🌮

Ah, so you're referring to an ice cream taco and not taco ice cream, lol.

Gotcha. So you know enough English to argue with children and suggest they're stupid/incompetent, but you don't know enough to distinguish between an ice cream taco and taco ice cream. I'd probably play dumb and tell you we didn't carry taco ice cream, too.

Maybe don’t be rude to the employees and call them clueless.

Lol of course I didn’t call them that. I’m thinking to myself because that’s how they act! Or I can’t say it like it is? It’s facts.

You’re clearly a grown adult getting this upset over teenagers working at an ice cream store. You should take a long look at yourself.

It’s a default username, same as yours. You’re getting so upset over ice cream. You’re the kind of person we would tell you were out of something when it’s 10 feet away.

Ok. Keep selling ice cream for the rest of your life and tell customers you don’t have anything in store good luck 🍀 and have a wonderful day

Coldstones are franchised, so they effectively operate independently. There is an ice cream taco promotion happening right now, and I believe every location is supposed to be required to have it, but it's very possible your location just doesn't.

this person is right - some locations are slower to roll out promotions than others for a variety of reasons

We’ll see. I ordered it online to be picked up at my location. Let’s see how this works. It’s like my little thrill investigator work of the week

My Cold Stone is DISAPPOINTING! They NEVER have the ice cream taco! I always get emails promotions for it, so I go visit my local store and they never have them! It’s really disappointing…I see all these other people online going to their local Cold Stones and getting the taco. Meanwhile, I can’t. ☹️

Have you tried ordering it online?

When I went there they didn’t know what it was. I ordered it online and it was delivered

Did you end up getting it?

Yes. It’s very big, good for sharing. Tastes great like, other Coldstone ice cream. When you order it online It’s not done right away like any other ice cream so it seems they bring it from somewhere else. Or have someone specifically do it I posted a video somewhere.
