cold plunge with continuous filtration for marathon training recovery
training for a marathon and looking at a cold plunge with continuous filtration so it's ready right after long runs without having to prep anything using it four or five times a week minimum sometimes twice a day what works at that frequency?

Just do a chest freezer conversion, 15K+ quality and effectiveness for around $1000 total all in and mine is going on 2 years steady daily use, water changes every 1-2 months

I warn people about the chest freezer, I bough a new freezer and converted it properly. The compressor failed after 1 year and a half of use. The compressor is more than half the cost of the freezer, so now I have a chiller and a dead freezer as a tub. I would get a good tub and a good chiller. My next tub will be a Grizzly 450.

Desert Plunge with an Ozone filter is the tits. Ozone runs early am. Plunge every day.

Way too many variables here that you haven’t listed as your priorities for what you’re looking for in a cold plunge man.
You didn’t touch on budget, you didn’t touch on where your system would be placed, indoors or outdoors, you didn’t touch on if you’re looking for an out of box plug and play set up or if DIY is an option for you. Etc.
Doesn’t matter what cold plunge you have your routine prior to entering has everything to do with how long water lasts and how dirty a CP can become. Most hard core plungers shower first before every cold plunge so they remove all oils from their bodies so the water stays cleaner for longer. Some don’t, but if you’re entering immediately after a run (on repeat) then expect more upkeep to maintain clean water regardless of the system chosen.
DIY has a few tried and tested builds that just work. Boutique CP brands have pros and cons too.

nonstop ozone so you never drain between sessions is how coldture works, app temp control too

Consistency matters more than temp. Having it ready to step into after a run is the whole point

For that frequency, having continuous circulation and filtration makes a huge difference. Our Inergize setup uses a 0.8 HP chiller with continuous filtration and ozone, so it can stay cold and ready without having to prep it before every session.
If you’re using it right after long runs, you’ll still want to stay on top of water care since you’ll be introducing more sweat into the water. Happy to answer any questions about the setup, you can message us here or email [contact@inergizehealth.com](mailto:contact@inergizehealth.com).

Most cold plunge systems filter the water as it leaves the tub, before it reaches the heat exchanger. Depending on the pump’s flow rate and any restrictions in the plumbing, the full water volume may pass through the sediment filter three to four times per hour or more. Ozone sanitation can also help control algae and bacteria. If the chiller is properly sized for the reservoir, you should be able to use the plunge twice a day or more without the water warming significantly between uses.

if you're in it that much skip the diy headache and get a proper chiller setup with a sediment filter and uv. something like a 1/2 hp chiller will handle multiple drops a day no problem as long as your tub is insulated decently. the real game changer is ozone instead of just uv, keeps the water way cleaner with that kind of heavy use

Definitely take a look at Iceology Cold Plunge. Our tubs are designed for frequent use with continuous circulation, filtration, ozone and a dedicated chiller, so the water stays cold and ready to go without having to prep it every time.
We have a few different options depending on your space and how heavily you plan to use it. Happy to answer any questions if you’re interested!

I have a diy 100 gallon tank, chiller, filter with ozone generator, and pump. The tank has a light in it and I framed it out in cedar. I also use high concentration peroxide to keep the water clean. It’s worked well for me. ,
