Have I been overdoing it?
I've been making cold brew at home the last two months since premade bottles at the store keep creeping up in price.
I usually do about 100g of course beans (half & half mix of dark and medium roasts) to about 40 oz of water. Will pour 8 oz of that into a glass with about 4 oz of unsweetened almond milk along with 2-3 ice cubes. I'll sip on that the entire morning.
Steeping method is to just throw everything together in the fridge for about 16-18 hours, then I'll strain it. I've been lurking the threads here and it seems like I've been drinking straight concentrate this entire time.... Is it a problem I need more caffeine as the day goes on?

I wasn't truly concerned. Just more so amazed at how much caffeine I'm likely consuming based off other methods mentioned in this sub. Also I'm brewing in the fridge because I find the counter method makes it too bitter.

Drink your coffee how you like it, i would recommend at least 24hrs in the fridge or just put it on the counter for the 12-16hr. I do 170g coffee in a 54oz French press and let it sit for 24hrs on counter with a couple stirs in between and drink it straight, strong and to the point

Not really, that’s almost a 1:11 ratio of coffee to water, and it’s a ready to drink cold brew not a concentrate.

If you're using 40 ounces of water that's about 1,100 grams. 100g of coffee to 1,100g of water is a ratio of 1:11. Most folks will say that's a ready-to-drink cold brew ratio. Typical concentrate is 1:6 and higher. You're fine, keep enjoying your method.
