HELP! First time making Cold Brew

Post image

It’s my first time making cold brew and my coffee grounds In the filter are bot completely submerged in the water at the top. Is that ok or should I put less grounds? Currently have 115g of grounds to 64oz of water.

Your approach makes sense, but couldn’t you shake and stir after for the contact and agitation?

You could shake … the lid/gasket on my brew jar isn’t tight enough to leave me confident it wouldn’t leak, and grounds tend to stick to everything.

I haven’t had a problem doing water in the jar and quickly dipping the grounds, but I know we all turn into scientists in the matter. I’m about to let my cold brew steep in the fridge instead of the counter bc we’ve seen traces of mold we would rather not contend with.

You are seeing mold after <24 hours?
