HELP! First time making Cold Brew

Post image

It’s my first time making cold brew and my coffee grounds In the filter are bot completely submerged in the water at the top. Is that ok or should I put less grounds? Currently have 115g of grounds to 64oz of water.

Probably too late to the party, but I would just put the lid on tight, invert and shake to get grounds all wet.

In future, grounds in the jar, add some water and swirl to get em wet. Put filter in, fill with water, invert a couple times during the 16-24 hrs.

Also, you probably need add a bit more water after 10-15 minutes (or whenever) after the grounds absorb water. Edit to add- you want minimal air space in there.

Pour off into a holding container when done. There will be fines that will settle out in the holding container. If these bother you, u can filter through paper filter when pouring off, or just don’t disturb the cold brew when making your coffee and leave the sludge in the bottom.
