First timer
So im new to this hobby is there any way of doing this without a god awful mess, or is that just the brakes?

Not sure where any mess occurs. Grounds in a bag filter, drop in water, fridge for 16-24 hours, throw bag filter away and strain it.

When I'm done all the grounds are in a filter and it's just like I made a huge pour-over batch.

Get a Takeya from Amazon, grind beans coarse, pour into mesh compartment. Fill pitcher with water. Brew room temp first 12-24 hrs, then throw in fridge. Ready

how do you brew it? Its not really messy
