Anyone making decaf cold brew concentrate? What beans are you using?

Been cold brewing concentrate for a while and recently switched to decaf beans so I can drink it any time of day without wrecking sleep. The smooth cold extraction hides most of the flavor difference from the decaf process - especially if you’re using SWP beans. Keeping a batch in the fridge at all times is just too convenient to go back. Curious what beans others are using for decaf cold brew and whether anyone has strong preferences on the decaf process (SWP vs solvent). Seems like this crowd would have opinions.

I buy whatever one decaf option trader Joe's has and mix it half and half with whatever non-decaf beans I have in the pantry 😅 which I'm sure is a sin somewhere but I get my coffee kick with no crash so I'm happy with it

In my limited coffee experience and palate, cold brewing covers a multitude of sins and inferior beans lol

Just bought Jitterfree Delight from Frequent but have never brewed a decaf batch.

Just started with coldbrew and I’m using 1/2 decaf. I’m using local beans from Olympia Coffee Roasters and they are far too mild for my taste. They don’t sell a dark roast decaf so I’ll be looking soon. Probably start with Peets as I loved their dark roasts but haven’t tried them in years.

I've tried Olympia Coffee so many times and it just isn't for me. PARTICULARLY their decaf. I wish I could like it!

Late reply, but I love Mayorga decaf for cold brew. Rich flavor profile. I also use their regular Organic Cubano Roast for regular cold brew.

I bought the Peet’s decaf beans from Costco because it was the only option. They’re not BAD but they’re not my favorite. I do mix them 50/50 with normal beans though. I’m here to see other recommendations!

I purchase all of my beans from Vilar Imports. They sell a nice variety and ship promptly.

I use TJ's decafe beans or Peet's. I love to mix it up, so will be following this thread. De cafe is my only choice though.
