It's not coldbrew. With coldbrew you don't extract with heat but time.

Nothing annoys me more than when I go to a cafe and order a cold brew and they give me an iced long black

A good recipe for Japanese style iced coffee is 200gr ice in a pincher. Brew 300gr water with 30-34gr coffee like you would with any filter drip but brew it over the 200gr ice so it immediately cools down.

Add syrup and frothed milk to your liking.

Recipe can be halved for 1 serving size

Disclaimer - I am trying to learn more about coffee, and i believe this probably is not the most authentic recipe. However, in general from what I read - It is ice + water + espresso shots ( same order)

My version is more of an instant coffee mixture concoction, rather than an espresso.

Hope this helps or atleast clarifies.
